Plan to go water for both the cooling benefits and the quiteness of it.
I already have a good idea of what I'm going to get, I'm pretty good with computers, just never ventured out into the WC relm (and hoping it's not hard).

List of sh!t I think I'll get:
Swiftech Storm CPU Block
Cyclone Fusion GPU Waterblock <-Two of them for my dual GT's
BIX2 Rad
Swiftech Pump
Tubing
Reservoir <-or a T thing

Thats pretty much everything except for AS5 (which I have), Distilled Water, something else that I can't remeber (but leaving it out for someone to fill in :p), and FANS for the RAD.

WHICH FANS should I GET for the BIX2 RAD. Looking for Quiteness+good performance. I've heard you don't need a lot of cfm like for air cooling, but I really don't know that much about it.

So basically everything I know is what I'm getting, and not what I'm doing with it. But thats what google is for :D. (but seriously, help me get some fans, and whatnot).

WC FTW!!!!11!

Edit: Posted in GH a week ago and didn't get a good response, maby wrong forum? :p

hah i was just browsing PTS for my own thread, and it looks like you are out of luck....the storm block is out of stock. But for BIX II fans, i was thinking of the Sanyo denki from PTS or the Delta Triblade from Sidewinder. Im not too sure, but i think the sanyo have a better cfm-noise-pressure ratio.

Hope they get them back in stock within a week.

Also, the fans, would you recommend them pulling the air over the rad? I think thats what you said to do. And as for the fans themselves, what would be a good amount of CFM to cool that Rad?

i think with thicker radiators like BIX or heatercores, the main issue is more about pressure and all 120 x 38mm fans usually already have sufficient CFM ratings already. The issue would be more with how much noise you can handle yourself. I've heard both the delta triblades and sanyos can run pretty quiet and still move a decent amount of air...since both these also seem that they have good pressure ratings it up to you how loud to run them. From the couple builds my friends an i have done, it doesnt appear to make a difference in performance pushing or pulling, but pushing creates more turbulence and causes extra noise to i would say have the fans pull....

My understanding is that BIX-style rads require 80 CFM or greater to function well. You can get something like a BIP 2 and be able to use a broader range of fans without much of a performance hit. In practice push-pull isn't worth the meager gains to overall cooling. This configuration also makes cleaning your rad difficult.

I don't plan on putting 4 fans on the Rad, only 2 to EITHER push OR pull the air. and because of space, and were it might be on my case, I'm pretty sure I'll have it pull.

I'll get a nice quite ~80cfm fan. Most likely either a Sanyo denki, Delta Triblade, or a Panaflo.

So, what about the rest of the components? Did I leave anything out? (i mean anything. Like if it isn't in the list in OP I aint getting it :p)

Your choices look fine to me. One thing to consider though, the Storm requires very clean coolant. Try to stay with a known quantity, because if you go with something weird or problematic the Storm will lock up tight on you.
