I just started my junior college this semester so I don't even have a GPA yet. I had some credits transfer in from old schools so I'll be able to get my AS by the end of summer '09. I want to start a 4 year college in Fall '09. So when do I even apply?

Late Winer/Spring '09 is fine for transfer students at a lot of colleges. They take a look at transfers after all the new students, so your decision date is later (typically late April/early May).

Well I need to wait until I at least have a GPA, so end of the semester I guess. I wonder if I'll have to purchase proof of my ACT scores from 7 years ago.

Bill, your school probably has an office/department that exists solely to help students with the transfer procedure. If nothing else, talk to one of your guidance counselors. They can be very good sources of information.

Hah, yeah. I gave them a call a little bit ago. I can't take more then 80 credits before transferring and I need to apply around August/September of '08 for fall of '09.

Usually you can take as many credits/units as you want, but only a certain amount will transfer. (at least that's the way it is here) I can only use 70 units for transfer, and they have to meet certain very specific criteria.

Most places won't even have transfer applications up until January/March of that year.
