Planning on picking up a new TV

Planning on picking up a new TV sometime between now and december. Currently this is what I have my eye on: Text

No, but I heard Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-111FD is pretty good for a plasma.

I've heard great things about the Panasonic Plasmas.

ewwww probably refers to the 1024x768 resolution, which qualifies as HD only on a technicality, as anything with 720 horizontal lines can have the HD badge, even though 1024 vertical is less than true 1280x768 HD.

However, I have read that this does not affect the picture quality compared to normal 720p sets which are 1368x768 like 99% of the time. Only cheap plasmas have 1024x768, but IMO even cheap plasmas are better than
similarly priced LCD's.

I'd go for it, unless you want to sped the extra ~300 bucks and pick up the 1080p version of that tv. All personal preference at that point....
