Planning on buying a PS3 -- Questions about using LCD

Now that blue-ray's won, I badly want to experience HiDef picture in my small home.

My 20wmgx2 is HDCP compliant. I know this means that I can make use of an HDMI to DVI converter and I would be able to see the PS3 on my screen.

That said, I don't know much else. Any ideas on what I should expect? How is the audio signal taken care of? Will my monitor receive the signal though the DVI? 😕

I use a PS3 on my monitor. The video I get through HDMI but the audio I use the separate hookup. (ie)I hook up an HDMI cable from the PS3 to the monitor then use the "composite" hookup from the PS3 to hook up the sound to the audio input on my sound card (you need an adapter which goes from dual-RCA female jacks to a single 1/8" male jack) which then outputs through my computer speakers. The PS3 lets you choose how you want each of the video and audio to be outputted. You can also use an optical cable I think to an input on your computer but I think optical IN is not that common on integrated/descrete sound cards.

You won't be able to get sound through DVI for sure.
