Planning New Build - Can I use old PSU

sandybridge

Hi,
I am planning on building a new system, probably an 2500k sandybridge overclocked to 4.6 GHZ roughly, 8GB RAM and a 6950 or GTX 560 for graphics.

Can I use my PSU from my old system - its a Tagan 530 Watt unit. Looking at the specs for the 6950 it looks like it will meet the power requirements.
Its about 5 years old, obviosuly a new power supply can be pretty expensive, but would it be okay to use the old one.

Thanks

Definitely spec a larger power supply that way you have room to grow your system. Myself, I don't buy anything smaller than 650W these days.
