So the whole going to india things a bust

Now we are going to calgary my uncle can put us up for 3 weeks

we are photographers so we must get out of the city and near the hills, ice, and what not

The problem is HOW do we get there
We are 18 and 20 so if the US rule of having to be 25 to rent a car applies
we can not rent a car

I can not ask my uncle to drive us out that far and back because he has family and a job
plus that would be way too much to ask from him

from what i read there is no bus that goes out that far

any Canadian ideas that i dont know about?

Thanks a bunch

BAD BAD idea. Those rental agreements are pretty strict about not letting anybody who isn't on the agreement drive. If you so much as get in a fender bender you and your uncle pretty much have no legal protection at all.

defiantly hit up banff and jasper also when you coming up...if you come in the winter there are NHL games, Canada olympic park, tons of mountains to ski on, and if you hit it up in the summer there are alot of outdoor concerts, the stampede, football, heritage park, calaway park, princess island park, good golfing and going to the Calgary tower...you could also hit up drummer and see the museum, athabasca ice

theres lots to do no matter when you go

I have been to hyderadad 3 times, i really want to go to the rolling hills of canada
Both places I have free housing but right now to figure out this trip I need to find a way to transport both of us and our equipment

I would think that there has to be a Sight Seeing Tour Bus that goes out that way. Look into it further. Greyhound or someone else must have a Bus.

There are greyhounds that go out there but its a once a day thing, but you will most likly need a car (so you can have your own Schedule, can stop on the road for wildlife and stuff like that...its really beautiful out there) , there are alot of hiking trails around there and there and you can basically just walk out of jasper (there are like 50 buildings there + railroad tracks), but a car would make it easier. At 18 and 20 you should be able to find a car company to rent to you...there are like 8 at the airport.

If you go out to banff or jasper you also need to book a hotel, you are lucky if you get a walkin and be prepared to be gouged ($200+ a night)...theres always tours around there but again this is banff and jasper you will be gouged

Der, pay for the uncle's car rental and borrow his in return. Else, yeah, take the bus if you don't mind being decapitated by some random wingnut.

Better yet, just skip it.

You will not be able to rent a car at 20 from any of the major rental car companies.

You will likely not be able to borrow your uncle's car, as you will not be covered by his insurance. Car insurance is really anal in AB, and foreign licenses would likely be grounds to deny insurance if your driving.

Driving without insurance in Alberta is a $3000 fine. If you do end up driving, keep in mind most tickets are $250+ (Rolling stop is $500 for example).

For the person who said there were 50 buildings in Jasper... wtf? It's 4300 people. That's a fair sized town! 6700 in Banff.

Banff Airporter. It's a bus that goes from the airport to banff and back. It's a great option.
