So, what IS the budget?

Exactly. This is fairly important.

My wife and I went to Sandals in the Bahamas for our honeymoon last year. It was, in a word, fantastical.

Lanai Hawaii.
Greatest place on earth.
Hell its where Gates got Married (5th hole green if I recall) and spent his honeymoon.

Only 2500 people on the hole island. 2000 of which are employed by the single hotel. Simply BEAUTIFUL.

Here

norweigans (sp?) are most likely to have one-night stands. so if your SO is not in the mood, you still have a great shot at scoring.

imo i would go deep in paris.

paris, france that is.

If you are on a budget, don't go to a place during a time of the year that everyone else is going to be going there. Try to go offseason if you can.

Hey, I'm planning my honeymoon right now too! Bora Bora and Moorea in French Polynesia look truly amazing and were our first choices, but it's insanely expensive just to get there, not to mention the room prices. :Q 🙁

We are going in fall, so we have to avoid the hurricane belt in the Caribbean. Right now, Aruba looks like a solid choice followed by Tobago and Curaçao. If not, we might just go to Hawaii.

The way we decided where to go was we just went to Borders and pulled a bunch of Frommer's and other travel books on various regions. We knew we wanted something tropical so we just started looking at various islands etc. and started narrowing it down.
Finally, we have a bunch of rewards points we can only use at certain hotels so we looked at the hotels in each place we liked to see if there is one that would work for us.

A couple of good sites:
http://epinions.com - they have quite a few reviews of destinations as well as individual hotels
http://tripadvisor.com - even more user reviews as well as links to articles from a variety of publications on different destinations
http://frommers.com - info including brief overviews on many different destinations
