Planning a big College Spring Break trip

Im pretty new to this actually totally new to this....

That aside, I am trying to plan a trip for 25+ college kids from my school and dont really even know where to begin.

We are trying to go to Acapulco, thats the agreed upon destination.

Threre are tons of different places all offering different packages and deals. I have heard horror stories of people's flights getting moved around or rebooked, rooms in horrible condition stuff that just wasnt expected when the venues were booked.

We were trying to book like a giant villa or something. Some of our friends have stayed at 15-20 person villas that had stuff like live in maid or cook etc... and they were able to get these private houses for near the same price of renting that many hotel rooms.

Searching online yields again tons of places. We are trying to make the most economically sound trip to Acapulco thats also in a good location and will be lots of fun.

I saw this site mexico mansion says it has room for 20 people. If we brought like 25-30 people and all split the nightly costs I think it would definately be cheaper. I also dont know how strict they are with max occupancy and stuff like that.

Also what about airefare? I know these places that offer the whole packages also include airfare.

Is there a good way to get cheap bulk student flights or something?

Please help me out here, anything Im missing not seeing etc....

Also security concerns me, none of these sites make me comfortable with sending them a large amount of money or anything like that.

Thanks in advance.

wow. Planning for a big group like that is TOUGH. Usually 3-4 is about ideal, any more than that and people just argue.

Make sure it's clear who has the final say in what happens, and who is just giving suggestions. The last thing you want is 25+ kids who all think they should have a say ni the matter.

three words: GET A TRAVEL AGENT

The whole idea is that everyone wanted to go to the same place and with that many peoeple we thought we could do well with our overall costs.....

agreed, you will definitley regret volunteering to organize this

Your bigger problem will be paying when you and your drunk buddies tear up a 4.5 million dollar mansion.
