Now the big question on Storage.
I was thinking of putting the Operating System(Win 7 Ultimate 64) on a SSD and adding a

Any and all help is appreciated.

I'd combine the money from the Velociraptor and get a faster SSD around 120gigs or so in size. It's more than enough for a large selection of applications and the OS. I didn't find loading games (I only play CS:S and Eve) off my WD green drive to be slow enough on an i7 to warrant my installing to the SSD.

I recommend the Intel x-25m 160gig G2 or whatever the fastest OCZ drivers are. I simply chose the quietest/coolest/fastest 1tb drive around.

Thanks for the suggestion. That does seem like a good option with TRIM available now.
Do the OCZ SSD's have TRIM?

They should, but I haven't kept up. I bought an 80gig Intel and put my games/vids/etc on the other drive. Check Anand there are some great SSD articles.

Seems like a lot to pay for a high end video card when you won't be doing any gaming in the near future, but to each his own. I also agree with Isv on just getting a larger SSD and ditching the Raptor. Perhaps add a 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 for storage drive. I think they're around $85.00 now.

Thanks for the information on the PSU. Thanks to others for the suggestions on the Harddrive
configuration. I am now looking at the Intel® X25-M G2 160GB($600 NewEgg) & WD Velociraptor 300GB 3.5 or the Kingston SNV425-S2BD/128GB. In place of the Raptor I may go with the WD Caviar Black 1TB.

The comment on the Video card peaked my interest as to what, with Directx11 future proofing, might be a sufficient card to drive a NEC LCD2490WUXi-BK-SV or 2-BK-SV(follow on) Monitor?
Thanks again to all respondents.

I am back in the market for a decent IPS monitor. Great text and Graphics a must. I had to drop the NEC when it's cost was over $1,000.
Thanks

I am going to other forums and ran across an item on the difficulty of putting Windows 7 on a SSD. Somewhere I ran across a article, before I thought I would want an SSD, that talked about how to do this. Can anyone help point me to how to set the SSD in BIOS and other adjustments so Windows 7, in my case Ultimate 64, will load with no problems. I hate problems and so will the person I have build the system. Current plan.
Thoughts: Cool, Quiet, Clean, GOOD Monitor as some eye problems
Antec P183
Intel Core I7 930
ASUS P6X58D Premium
Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 KHX1600C9D3K6/12GB
Intel® X25-M G2 160GB & WD Caviar Black 1TB (How should it be partitioned? What Pgm.?)
Or Kingston SNV425-S2BD/128GB
Seasonic X-750
Scythe Gentle Typhoons if needed
Windows 7 Ultimate

Items I am unsure of. Monitor, Video Card, CPU Cooler
Dell UltraSharp U2410 Rev. 2 or HP ZR24W or ASUS VW246H
Video Card is still up in the air. Waiting for the FERMI Reviews or Probably ASUS 5770
Scythe Zipang 2, Corsair H50, Noctua NH-U9B SE2 92mm SSO
