I know there are plenty of PS haters on Anandtech and I only have one question for all of you: how many of you have actually played this game (not Beta tested) but actually played?
I honestly didn't think too much of PS until I played for a few days. At first, i thought it was just a lame FPS with thousands of people fragging each other. Well, I never realized that fragging could be so much fun. There is nothing that can compare to hot dropping onto the roof of enemy base, getting hackers to open the doors and then making a mad dash for the control center. Once the hack starts everyone fans out and desperately tries to hold off the enemy until the hack goes through. Outside, reavers (essentially close support air vehicles) and galaxies (huge transports) ferry in more troops, supplies, etc.
When working as a team, this game is UNBELIEVABLY cool. I'm sorry, but everyone says that PS has 'no point'. What about EQ? To build up your character and become really powerful... well that's good and all, but what are you going to kill? Random monsters? Seems pointless IMO. PS is awsome because you can actually see your gains and losses.
I would recommend everyone who even remotely likes FPSes should check it out.
