Why not...,
Change the men's room to unisex
Leave the woman's room as is.
We're gonna start needing tranny restrooms in this country.
Not because people deserve them. Just to cut down on lawsuits.

Pieces of shit like you people are the reason why transgenders kill themselves so often.
Excactly HOW she would be more at risk at the men's room? Because men immediately rape everyone that has a vaguely female form, amirite?"A transgender woman would be much more at risk for her safety if she had to use the men's bathroom," he said.
Bathrooms go by genitals; end of story. Among many other common sense arguments, male locker rooms have urinals.
Looks like a female, have a dong, come change in my locker room. Look like a male, have a vagina, change in female locker room.
You can't do that because then you would be singling out transexuals. It would be like having a restroom for blacks only.
This is going to be a very sticky situation.
If they're single usage rest rooms, yes, In other words one toilet, one sink or one shower if equipped with one. If it's an actual locker room that doesn't work. That makes the situation potentially worse.PF should mark the rooms as unisex, since they are not going to check the the actual gender of anyone, and are essentially opening them up to everyone, regardless of plumbing type.
But unfortunately it's not that simple. Reconfiguring or adding facilities like this is a huge expense. It can take floor space away from a business that earns their money not from providing restrooms and changing areas but machines, equipment and floor space in this case for providing a means to exercise. There are potentially huge issues with the local authorities regarding sewer and water and the charges associated with those two can be astronomical. You can't take an existing business and change the model in this manner and necessarily come out the other end with a business that makes financial sense anymore or one that is even financially viable. It could easily be sensibly handled by introducing unisex "family" changing rooms. In the main locker room, there would be individual cubicles for changing, individual cubicles for showers and stalls.
This would cater for families with children (e.g. a father who wants to take his daughter swimming, but she's of an age where staying in the men's room is a bit iffy, and maybe she's a bit too young to use the lady's on her own), as well as provide a more welcoming environment for transgender people.
Everyone benefits from a simple reconfiguration.

Sounds like common sense but you can't do that. You can't ask people what parts they have and you can't make determinations based on what parts they have. It is up to the individual to decide what gender they are.Bathrooms go by genitals; end of story. Among many other common sense arguments, male locker rooms have urinals. I get a kick out of the word 'sincere'. Who determines if what was reported was sincere and how is it determined? A very serious look? Head held high, looking in the eyes type of thing? She said the front desk employee told her about Planet Fitness' "no-judgment" policy, which allows people to use changing room based on "their sincere, self-reported gender identity."
Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with "if you have a dick, use the men's locker room?" If you want to have a dick and dress like a female, then you are just going to have to take whatever shit comes with using the males locker room. Don't like guys fucking with you / making fun of you / whistling at you? Then don't be a dude dressed like a fucking woman.
What did trannies always do in the past? Why is it just a problem now? Entitlement society is why. Trannies want to immediately be treated like a woman so much that they just start up and using chicks' bathrooms / locker rooms. It's a pathetic practice and should end.

It comes down to how much is the world going to have to change to accommodate a minute percentage of the population? Also, where does it end? If you can tell a large franchise that they need to accommodate transexuals, what about small mom/pop stores? Would they have the resources to meet the new law? What about sporting events? Concerts? Fairs? Schools?
And, ATOT meet and greets?![]()

Bullshit. A man shouldn't be allowed into a woman's locker room just because he identifies with being a woman. Period. I don't blame these women for being uncomfortable and complaining.

Exactly how my gym operates, pretty reasonable to me.It comes down to how much is the world going to have to change to accommodate a minute percentage of the population?
I owned a fitness franchise and the business model allowed me to have either Unisex restrooms or restrooms designated for either Men or Women. I chose to have three Unisex restrooms two of which were equipped with showers. Everybody that joined signed a document of my making acknowledging that the restrooms were to be occupied by only one individual at a time and violation of that rule was grounds for immediate termination of the membership. The franchise I owned was open 24 hours a day but was not staffed 24 hours a day. I did not want people using my bathrooms to get their freak on when we weren't staffed.
Having communal locker rooms opens you up to all kinds of potential problems. I would not have a fitness franchise or fitness facility that had them and this thread documents one of the reasons why.
The only reason a person with gender A body parts would want to use a locker room with gender B body parts is to cause trouble.
The only reason a person with gender A body parts would want to use a locker room with gender B body parts is to cause trouble. You can still "self-identify" as the other gender all you want. It doesn't damage your "self-identification" to use the room that matches your body parts, and it's respectful of EVERYONE else.
So aside from (apparently) one woman complaining, what trouble did the person cause?
