I just watched the "Shallow Seas" episode last night and that scene with the Great White shark jumping fully out of the water at 1/50 normal speed in HD like that was just about one of the most visually amazing things I think I've ever seen in HD to date.

Simply amazing looking and interesting.

Anyone else been watching them?

I got a few more on the DVR to catch up on also. :D

WTF us up with all the forum Nazi's lately?

WTF cares if it's been possibly posted before? I was posting specifically about the Great White shark scene anyways.

Damn.

Translation: I didn't even bother to look for other threads about this so now I have to either admit that or backpedal and I choose backpedal. :)

Well the worst part is using the search engine as an argument. If I were to compare it to an actual engine, I would have said it threw a rod several thousand miles ago.

Edit: Removed false logic. It apparently did work in this instance in finding this thread, and related. I didn't even bother actually trying as I gave up on it a while ago.

That would be euphemetic.

More like threw ball bearing into head and crankcase with motor revving at 20K RMP resulting in a catostrophic failure of every component. Bearings became welds.

I'd rather be watching in 1080i on a good 1080P Plasma or LCD.

true. i watch them on Discovery HD on Sunday nights. But I've also downloaded them all so I can watch them again. I plan on buying these on HD-DVD once I get a HD-DVD player.

I understand. I was just alluding to the fact that a 720P broadcast is actually of lower quality than a 1080i broadcast, so long as you are viewing it through a good 1080P tv. Small but very real distinction.

Ok I have the BBC 720p PE rips on my pc, but each file only shows to be 2.3 or 4 gigs. Is this right? I was gonna make a dvd with Vista dvd maker and it was gonna put 3 on a regular single layer dvd, something didn't seem right.
