I'm trying to find the complete Blu-Ray set of Planet Earth, but I want to get the version with the British narrator, as Sigourney Weaver's voice annoyed me when I watched it on TV. Is there any place I can find this online?

David Attenborough is FANTASTIC!! I used to watch his nature docs as a kid and loved every minute of them!

Thank you! For some reason I couldn't find this when I searched Amazon, and this is cheaper than Discovery.com's price of the Sigourney Weaver version.

Also, does anyone know if/when The Blue Planet (the Discovery Channel documentary series, not the IMAX dealie) will be available on Blu-Ray?

I love planet earth. I wish I could watch it in HD. I saw it at the Sony store on time and it looked amazing. I only have it on DVD.

uhh. I have the BD version and have the cocky narrator for mine. I REALLY want to find one w/ Sigourney Weaver's voice since her narration sounded more sincere. The brit dude's voice was too cocky, sounded boring, and felt like the narrator knew everything. Weaver's voice sounded like she was intrigued.

Bah, You fail. Nobody prefers the Sigourney Weaver version. Not even Sigourney Weaver.

That's because he does know it. He's been narrating these things for 50 years.

I have the BBC version (on HD DVD), but I prefer the Sigourney Weaver version because I find her voice much more soothing.

Yeh, I wonder how much of Weavers sincere voice is just acting. After all she is an actress reading a script and only started to be involved in nature projects after doing the film Gorillas in the Mist.

Attenborough has been doing this all this life and cares about nature. Most find his presentation style is actually informative and thought provoking, that and it works well when speaking up close in front of nature which is to not be disturbed. :p

No! Attenborough is the man at these documentaries! I have to confess that I really need to pick this up along with a PS3 or a BD player

One of the first Blu-rays I ever bought, and absolutely fantastic on every count. It's beautiful, it's informative, and it's better than just some mindless action film, which is not to say I dislike action movies, because I'm a big fan of action movies, but the point is that they simply aren't as informative as anything the Discovery Channel has to offer, although their programming recently has been somewhat silly; I mean, Dangerous Catch or that one about the truckers in Alaska, those are just silly; but Planet Earth is a fantastic documentary series, highly recommended, definitely a must have for any high definition library; and I must apologize for the extremely long sentence, but I've been reading Hobbes lately, so I've forgotten how to end a sentence. Oh shit, that's how you do it. Booyah!
