I know it may be a dumb question, but I can't seem to move this thing up and down. Can someone help? I don't want to force it and break it. Thanks.

I have yet to receive mine, but Im curious what you think of the pivot design (PV)? Better design than the CT in your opinion?

As far as I know, the pivot is only for revolving side-to-side (for landscape/portrait imaging), *not* up and down (for viewing angle).

cheers!

There is up and down =) The manual shows so.. the device supports for it to tilt 30 degrees to adjust vertical viewing.. like match you to eye level, the same way a CRT would. I just can't figure the controls to do it. The tilting is cool... once I can get mine a bit shifted up I can tilt it. With the pivot software, it'll install work to vertical while reading documents n such.

I finally got my PC174 and the tilting mechanism is pretty straightforward. All you do is manually tilt it forward. I suspec that your unit is too tight which is preventing any movement. I took off the back panel which is at the top rear of the stand (a "U" or "V" shaped peice of plastic). This exposes a coupleof nuts on the tension mechanism....loosen! that should be all there is to it. I agree with your post of a week ago....i like this panel a lot and will keep. hoping it improves further with DVI
