Planar PL191 ghosting

Hi

I got my PL191 the other day from Dell. It's nice: sharp and bright. No apparent ghosting in BF 1942.

But: if I have a small window open against the plain blue desktop and I drag it back and forth, the contents (icons) of the window "shake" and it seems to go fuzzy.

I have a GF4 Ti4600, using the latest drivers and I am using the DVI interface. I have enabled Clear Type.

Any suggestions, tips or tweaks? I anticipated ghosting during games but not against windows desktop!

It sounds like interference, not a problem due to response time. (This is actually the VESA definition of ghosting - interference, rather than motion blur associated with response time)..

Do you still have the problem with the 15 pin VGA cable? Maybe the connection is grounding at your video card.

I jumped on this monitor when dell had it on sale. I think it's a great monitor with very minor ghosting in games. I haven't experienced your problem, but I'll see if I can duplicate it tonight when I get home from work. I'm running it with a MSI TI4400 128MB through the DVI cable.

well, I tried a whole bunch of different things but couldn't get anything like you mentioned. Everything is sync'ed at 60Hz 32-bit @ 1280x1024. there is some ghosting then you move the window but nothing "shakes".
