Just got in and turned my monitor on (which has automatically shut itself off after the comp being idle), and and my screen displayed umm...vertical streaks of red and yellow of varying thicknesses going down the entire left side of the screen, and the right side of the screen is all black around the outside and it fades into a tanish color on the inside. turn the monitor off and back on again and it's fine.
