and here I just got done ordering my Dell 1800FP last nite.

I'm up to $617.09 including my greedy Florida sales tax.

so I then would take $50 (MIR) off $617.09 which would bring the final price to $567.09

so it would roughly cost me $80 more for that extra inch between this one and the Dell 1800FP one.

oh man, decisions decisions..........

I just checked the Planar's specs and here's what I'd be gaining over the 1800FP from Dell:

500:1 compared to the 1800FP's 350:1

25ms response time compared to the 1800FP's 30ms time

built in speakers with the Planar - 1800FP doesnt have any

built in USB hub (which I'd probably never use) - 1800FP doesnt have a USB hub

*okay, someone help out a poor sap here make a sensible decision before I completely fall off the deep end. 😀
