My wife and I are going to England in September. Whatare some "must sees" while we are there? We are staying with friends just south of London.

I was researching a London trip and there are several companies giving day tours. Some are by bus, others by Lorri where it is you and your guest and the driver. Some of these day tours go through the chunnel and you can see spots on the mainland (like lunch under the Eiffel Tower).

So many places, It really depends on what you want to see, what you're interested in, so many historical landmarks, castles/ palaces etc, stonehenge obviously. Awesome cities, my favourite are London and Manchester, so much to do in both.

Nights out places.... Shoreditch, Brick Lane... Go for a proper Indian in Brick Lane, there are so many to choose from around there. Go see Cambridge, I love it.

Bath and York were my favourite outside of London. Bath's Roman Bath museum is probably my #1 or #2 museum I've ever visited. Hampton Court was really cool too. York is just a character gem you never hear about, such an awesome place.

Pro tip: Get a day pass for transit after 9:30am... zone 1-2 only costs 6.60 GBP. That gives you unlimited tube rides in zone 1-2 and unlimited bus rides anywhere in Greater London.

St. James and Regents Park >>>>>>>>> Hyde park. Hyde park is HUGE and has nicer and shittier parts. The nicer parts don't really compare to St. James and Regents, though. St. James is right by Buckingham Palace. If you go to Regents park, go to Primrose Hill. It has a great view of the city. Take a bottle of wine and a blanket.

Go to Greenwich. It has a great maritime museum and the observatory. Take a ferry from Westminster.
