I'm going there tomorrow for the week and need some cool places to check out, since I've never really been there before. I know about the Riverwalk and the Alamo, but that's about it. I'm pretty much open to anything - museums, restaurants, bars, etc.

Really just depends on what you are into . If you are 21+ there are some good bars and clubs around town. I would recommend you visit the Quarry because its a lot of fun hopping around in there. Go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.. that is a blast too. While you are here you need to eat some real Mexican food. I recommend La Fonda because its right in downtown. Its pretty good. Most of my favorite resturants are on the north side of the city near the airport or the northwest side. If you get a chance I really do recommend going to the downtown marketplace because its like going to mexico, but you don't have to worry about getting your wallet stolen by a 9 year old selling chiclet.

OH YEAH GO VISIT THE WHITTY childrens museum
And polyesters... its this killer 70s and 80s club in town.

I'm staying at a hotel near the airport, so anything close is a plus but it's not a big deal if it's in another part of the city. Are all the bars there 21 and over, or can you get in at 18?

When I drive to San Antonio, I hang out at the Riverwalk since there are a slew of bars, resturants, and other attractions available. The Alamo is nearby and worth paying a visit to.

most of them are 18+
but a lot of the really really really good clubs are 21+ that I can't go to. If you want a big ghetto fyed booty shaking club go to the atrium. Its near the airport off of highway 281.

If you area a Texan go see the Alamo, kinda small but Heritage nonetheless. Theme parks might be entertaining, bnut I have been to them too much. For real mexican food, go find a whole in the wall place, j/k anywhere will do.

The Cowboys are having training camp at the Alamodome during this coming month, worth checking out for some free autographs or something
