Places to Eat in Denver?

Ameesh

Lifer
Hey Guys,

I am going to be in Denver on business for the next few days and I was hoping you guys might know some good place to get some dinner with a group?

I am staying in LoDo if that helps.

-Ameesh

Any preference in food type, and/or pricing?

EDIT: Here I'll just give you two of my favs

  • LoDo's Bar and Grill - this is good bar food, sports bar atmosphere
  • Maggiano's aka Little Italy - great italian food, family style dining experience so great for a group. still a bit pricey but worth every penny. Google this place and get a reservation because you might not be seated timely, or at all without one

Let me know if you have any specific ideas and I can help you more

There's a DiCicco's Restaurant somewhere in Denver. It's family owned, and they have several restaurants in Central California. Good Italian food

no prefernece on food type really, if denver has some local fare then id like to try that as far as price goes anything is fine, preferabbly under $50 per person

Best Indian food I've ever had was at India's Restaurant on Tamarak.

Other than that, the burrito wagon on Alameda next to that yellow place is pretty good.

um im not from denver so I am not familiar with that yellow place

There's 'The Fort', which serves wild game (e.g. Buffalo, Snake, Quail, Elk, etc)... things you may not be able to have elsewhere

There's also a small restaurant call 'Cafe Brazil', which serves really great South American food & wine... It's voted the best dating spot in Denver (great atmosphere), but you HAVE to make reservations cuz it's packed all the time

It's on the south side of Alameda near Federal Blvd maybe just east of Morrison Rd.

If you like steak, you can try Elway's (at Cherry Creek)... There's also other steak places like Cool River Cafe at the Tech Center, Great Northern Tavern (this one has great micro-brew beer)...

ESPN zone at the Tabor Center? It's connected to the Westin hotel... can have dinner and watch a game there...

IMO, there's not that many great places to eat in downtown

It's nothing compared to Maggiano's Little Italy. Nothing at all.

I HIGHLY recommend the Texas Roadhouse. I've eaten at the one in Greeley, and I know it's good. There is one in Longmont, which if I remember right is Denver area.

Everything's a long drive in Denver. Just wait until after 6:30pm and the roads clear out. I usually end up near Golden but will happily drive over to Tamarac for good Indian food.

Edit: just saw his preference for walking or cab, nevermind.
