I have a SCSI hard drive with a UW connector (68 pin male I believe). Internally, I'm running SCSI-2, so I have a male ribbon cable.

So I've been looking for a 50F/68F adapter. The only one I've found is from Adaptec and sells for $30. Does anyone know where else I can get these? I'd be happy with a generic one.

Am I thinking of this the right way? Is it male/male?

Hyper Microsystems has converters cheaper. They give little descriptions about what each converter does. It looks like you want a 68M/50M to use the HD on 50 pin cable.

But you can always ask them if you're not sure.
