places that have cheaper eye exam?

I want to use the free acuvue lenses coupon, but my regular doctor is on vacation. So is there a place like Pearle, For Eyes, etc. that has an eye exam for around $25, as a promotional price? I want to use the litigation settlement coupons and change from ciba focus 1-2 week lenses to a comparable acuvue lens.

OT: Am I the only one who thinks that going the cheap way with your eyes is not the best of ideas?

If you get an eye exam and pay the regular $60 or a promotional $25 at Pearle, Lenshut, or wherever, its still the same eye exam. Sometimes these places have promos. Besides I'm an experienced lens wearer whose probably been wearing lenses longer than you've been on the planet.

Been going there for 6 years and Have yet to have a problem!

Don't know about your school...but here at Cal, you get a huge discount if you go the University Optometry Center (Though you may be worked on by students :Q)
