in any huge city like nyc, especially a port city, there are going to be super expensive places to buy clothing, and then there are giong to be the "secret" places to buy stuff really cheap

maybe they are last year's styles, maybe they are items with small unnoticeable defects, maybe they are "lost" merchandise, maybe they are quality immitations, lesser known brands, or from lesser known countries. maybe its just a simple discount store

im looking for recommendations on where to find great deals on clothing in the greater nyc area, from north jersey to long island to the hudson river valley to ct. anything within a 2 hour drive of nyc

i know lots of you live near nyc and must have some little gems of shopping or favorite places to get a deal

im looking for good to high quality materials at near cost or below cost prices. no polyester suits thanks. here is a list of things in order of want

suits
dress shirts
dress shoes
ties/belts/cufflinks
semi-casual clothes: collared shirts, dockers/slacks
casual clothes

H&M stores are super cheap... otherwise its bankrupt city shopping at the brand name stores unless you are mega rich.
