Pl. help...CPU over powered by processes

Hi:

For some mistirious reason, my client's laptop over powered by some process/es. showing 100% cpu usage without runing any programes. I can't even run msconfig or regedit. It was working fine before, so I know that is not the problem. It has win XP pro OS. If I run in safe mode, it shows normal CPU usage.

Try an antivirus scan, if you haven't done that already. Be sure to use the latest virus definitions.
