Put the chip in, defaults to multiplier of 12x. Vcore defaults to 1.575.
IT WILL NOT BOOT ON THIS BOARD PAST 175 YET!

Sandra Mem bench:

100 fsb = 2453/2437
133 fsb = 3264/3262
140 fsb = 3459/3441
145 fsb = 3580/3582
150 fsb = 3700/3694
155 fsb = 3831/3824
160 fsb = 3940/3935
166 fsb = 4020/4007
170 fsb = 4002/4007
175 fsb = 3935/3912 (2-3-3-7)
175 fsb = 4021/3998(2-2-2-5)

I love this competition now. P4 1.7m + GB vs. 1700+/1800+/2100+ and the Nforce2. These are good times to be an overclocker

Bad news guys... can't even post at 180. DOn't know what the problem is. Temps are good and all. Just don't know what to do. I put it at 180 and it just beeps real fast... and nothing. This stinks, I was really hoping to put it to the test with the GB board. I am not giving up yet, but can't stay up much longer. Quick thought anyone...

make sure everything (unused) onboard is disabled including USB

You may want to try with your AGP/PCI slightly above OR below spec (like 68/34) and see if it posts?

No go. I have everything disabled but my lan. I tried upping the voltage on the ram. I even tried setting all the ram timings as relaxed as can be. No difference. To tired to do much more, so, I will just have to try and figure it out tomorow night. Hate this!

worst comes to worst ~ you could at the least map out how far the board can go.

that info would be invaluable to many overclockers.

but dont worry, its too early to give up.
(at least you had no problems on the install)

I am typing this at 175fsb. Wish i could do that on my 2.4b c1. I am not gonna give up. Just wishin... that's all.

Did you try both chips you bought?
Maybe the other will make it or maybe it is the GB. Just a thought.

I am not finished. I am gonna try:
1. Different power supply
2. If all else fails, I have my second chip to try. Did not want to open if, but if I must, I must!

I have not seen any bios updates yet.

Those mem benches are only at 2-3-3-3-7 also... Just to make you drool a little more.

Just hope something I do tonight will get this moving. Obviously, I will not hesitate to yank the chip out if I can't go any higher than "175." YUCK!!!:disgust:

Yeah, it's not over yet PJ, a bios update (when it comes out) could fix it, and it could just be that board, may not be all GB's...

Those scores were at 2-3-3-7? OMG!! <drool> Got any...<drool>more?
