Pizza place delivered wrong pizza...

Turkish

Lifer
So I called and complained. The manager apologized and told me he'll be sending me the right one. Now my question is, do I re-tip the delivery guy? I have no idea how pizzarias work so the driver may have picked the wrong pizza or the guy in store may have handed him the wrong one... what do I do? The pizza was $9.88 with tax so I tipped the guy 3.12 already... what do I do?

Do they want the old pizza back? If not, give the guy a buck or two. You're getting 2 for the price of one, might as well throw the guy a bone for running around, even if it was his own fault.

$10 even

edit: uh nevermind. you laready paid. you would have to pay for the replacement.
damn, must sleep.

There's no need, and it's not expected, but it's nice, escecially since it's almost never the driver's fault, and you are getting a two-fer. (Assuming the first one is edible.)

I'm a delivery driver, and imo it's rarely the drivers fault when orders are switched. At the place I work, the kitchen is responsible for tagging the pizzas / sides and making sure the order #s match with the order, and throwing in extra sauce, dressing, etc. We have to trust that the kitchen did their job ... we hardly ever have time to double check the pizzas. If there's ever a mixup, we always bring a fresh pizza and let the customer keep the old one ... and I personally never expect a tip, but of course it's nice when they throw me a couple bucks for driving back out. On the other hand I'd rather they not tip me again if it were my fault. The worst is bringing a 2nd free order to someone cause another driver or take-out screwed up, and getting no tip 🙁

$3.12 is a generous tip I'm a cheap college kid lol personally would throw the guy a buck for the redelivery if I had a spare one if not then no...

Well the same guy delivered the right pizza so I didn't re-tip as the $3.12 I originally tipped is well over 30%. Thanks for the responses.

Regardless of who's fault it is, it's hardly fair for the customer to tip twice if he didn't receive the right order the first time. The customer already has to wait even longer for the right order to get to his door.

It's YOUR money. Nobody's entitled to it but YOU. Why don't YOU make that decision on whether or not you want to give away more of your money?
