I honestly have no idea how you could be alive if you didn't know the answer to this moronic question. Easily the dumbest thing I've ever seen asked on ATOT this year.

It sounds more demeaning when you say it in your head with a British accent.

Hmm, is working on President's Day disrespectful to our Presidents (past and present)?

And if so, which is more important, honoring our past Presidents by staying home, or going to work to spite our current President? Decisions, decisions...

I don't think many businesses close for Washington's Birthday except the federal government and banks.

I just had a wild thought... Now sitck with me here because it's kind of esoteric for these boards...

But...

Maybe you could CALL them. You know, pick up the phone and dial their number. Now this is where it gets complicated. You'll have to locate some sort of directory, a book or on-line source that contains every phone number of every business in your area. The tricky part is this... all those entries are listed in alphabetical order, so you'll need to know your ABCs... but if you have that basic life skill you're home free. Once you've located the entry for Pizza Hut you'll notice a series of what at first may appear to be random numbers to the right. If you enter those numbers into your telephone's keypad you will be given direct access to their delievery people. Once you make contact you can ask them if they are in fact delivering pizzas today.

Good luck and God bless.

With the exception of some ethnic restaurants, MOST restaurants are open on all holidays except Thanksgiving and Christmas... some are even open on these days. With other people off of work and feeling lazy they make more money from all the people that aren't used to making lunch at home.
