DrPizza is a cool mod and I think he deserves an emoticon.

Anytime someone is misbehaving in a thread, you could just feed them a slice of 'pizza', which then alerts the attention of DrPizza.

Yeah, that won't get abused. Maybe you could get a direct "whine to the mods" phone line which lights up a red light on their end. That way when the mod phone rings and the red light's lit up, they know just to let the answering machine pick up. :p

Some forums do have a 'Report this post to Moderator' button (and I think FuseTalk supports the feature but it's disabled here) but I think that will really get abused out here. A lot of users think a difference of opinion is enough to warrant a vacation. We have enough active mods around here throughout the day - just PM Anandtech Moderator. It has worked for me in the past.

I agree with it would get abused like a whore on halloween. Maybe if they would give people vacations for abusing the report this post feature that may curve the abuse dramatically.

Sometimes I wonder if that'd make things simpler. By the time I open 20 tabs and start browsing through them, and working on other things, sometimes quite a bit of time goes by before I refresh any of the pages. But, I think that'd make things more tiring at the same time. Also, don't forget, Hzl Eyed Grl and the senior mods also patrol OT.
