I installed win98. When I click Internet explorer. It says not enough memory to run the Internet setup wizard. Thats so BS. I have restarted and all. Can't install ie 5.5 or anything, need to setup ie4 first!

I have enough memory. I can lpay my games fine. Why would this be?

Thanks

how can I bypass this?

THANKS

what are your system specs?
IE4 is an intergral part of win98fe! how are you trying to install IE5.5, via a disk or web?

Yeah, Its win98, First Edition.

Athlon 1ghz
kyro 2
256 megs of ram
20gb hard disk
fresh install

everything works fine, just not the Internet Setup Wizard, and I need 2 know how to bypass it, without loading it, its just a setting I'm sure. (registry?)

I can't install another IE over the top (from CD) until I get the wizard bypassed or going

hmm, forgive me but I'm a little confused as I encountered no such problem when I recently loaded win98fe followed by IE6 from disk before even setting up an internet connection!

yeah, its a bit funked. When I install 98 (i tired reinstalling) it comes up with an error with java or some Shizt when its installing. probably the reason. I hope that doesn't mean my 98 is funked! It won't let me install IE, so now ICW. So no LAN internet, so no internet :<
