I have a Sceptre X7 tv monitor with DVI port, and GeForce FX 5500 graphics card with DVI port, I recently bought a DVI cable and connected it, now some of my pixels individually flicker randomly. What is going on?? Should I not use the DVI cable? I'd like use it because my monitor is wide screen and with the VGA cable it doesn't allow me to use the maximum resolution without distorting everything on the screen. Thanks

Does the graphics card use the NVidia chip's internal transmitter unit, or does it have a discrete chip for that? If the former, then I'm not surprised. NVidia's chips are known to have signal quality issues with high resolution DVI.
