Hello

My screen gets all pixelated when it is under heavy load. Here is a screen shot of it when it occurs:

Capture.jpg

Here are my system specs:

Intel i5 2500k 3.3GHz CPU (Overclocked to 4.5GHz)
Noctua NH-C14 HSF
G-skil Ripjaw X 4x4GB 1600MHz RAM
AMD Msi Twin Frozr II r6950 2gb GPU (Running at 900MHz, stress tested the GPU at 920MHz for 3 hours and it passed so 900MHz should be safe)
ASRock Extreme4 Gen3 Motherboard
SilverStone Strider Gold 850W PSU
Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD
WD 1.5TB Caviar Green HDD
WD 2TB Caviar Green HDD
Corsair Obsidian 650D Case
BenQ 21.5” Monitor

I have installed the latest drivers from the MSI website and then from the AMD website and it still occurs.

The system is only about one month old. Could the GPU be faulty? It comes back to normal if I reboot the computer or sometimes if I wait for ages.

I would really appreciate any help.

Thank you

Try putting your CPU back to its normal (stock) values, same with (stock) ram.
Then do the same with your GPU (back to stock), make sure everything is well cooled.

See if it still happends. (if it doesnt, you ll have to try in small increasements to overclock again)

If it does, try takeing the card out of your pc, and putting into a friends pc, see if it still happends, if it doesnt, its your other components. If it does, its probably the cards fault.

Did you flash its bios? unlocked extra shaders? it could be those shaders arnt stable or something.

**if you did flash the bios, try useing the extra fail-safe bios the cards come with, and have the card running normally (stock everything).

I once had an issue like this and it turned out to be a problem with the video cable to the monitor.
