Pixel Shift on LCD?

I'm using a sony hs95p 19" lcd monitor along with an ati x1900xt video card and when I play some games (quake 4 is the only one I can remember off the top of my head but I think fear and maybe far cry exhibit this also) it looks like the screen is shifted one pixel down and one to the right. I get two faint lines of light on the very top edge and the very left edge. Does anyone know what could cause this? I'm using the dvi connection and the latest 6.2 catalyst driver. This monitor has no other noticeable problems other than one dead pixel no where near these affected areas. Is this problem unheard of?

Thanks for any help!

there should be certain auto adjusting settings to solve that.. i get that with my samsung 915N

but i just press auto adjust and it correctly centers it...

manually you can do this by adjusting COARSE and FINE pixel settings, or even H and V position

He's using DVI; there's nothing to adjust. The monitor displays exactly what the video card is putting out.

I've seen similar things sometimes with other games, usually on menu screens and the like. I think it's just a rendering bug where there's one pixel not being drawn at the very edge, but I suppose it could be a driver problem. I've never seen it during actual gameplay.

Yeah the DVI does not allow me to correct coarse and fine settings. I'll check to see if I can get it to occur during gameplay. It may have been just during menus, loading screens etc. Thanks.
