So, I thought about upgrading my old pixel...to a new 6pro.

I'm thinking the new superhero pixel will be the 6a...

200 bucks cheaper than the 6...awesome camera setup...just like the 6....

Except it will rock the newer tensor chip ...

As of now my pixel 3a xl is now rocking android 12... I'm holding out for the pixel 6a. The real star of the show.

What are your thoughts?

Got my 6a today, release day. My total cost is $180. Unlocked phone was $449, and I got $300 trade-in for my Pixel 3a (which I purchased outright for $279 over two2 years ago).

6a - a little bigger, but difference is irrelevant, fits my pocket.

Set up was a snap. Moved SIM card, connect old > new with cable that came with 6a, followed a few prompts, and it copied virtually everything over. I had a few items in a secure folder, and I ended up having to move those manually.

The rest of the time was tweaking apps, and dealing with the fact I was logging from a new device for many of them, and first login issues as if I had just installed the app.

My last two phones, LG5 and Pixel 3a, had fingerprint sensor on the back which I found optimal, 6a is on the screen, but it is quick and responsive.

For $180 it's a great phone.

Glad to hear it's working out well. If it weren't for people's concerns about the fingerprint reader, it'd be a near-ideal mid-range phone. Goodness knows I'd choose the Pixel 6a over the Galaxy A53 any day.
