Pitfalls of change: BNC changing to CAT5

Currently I have WinMe ICS set up with @home cable modem service. I just bought a Netgear RS314 switching 4 port router and the CAT 5 cables and am ready to switch over.

Are there any pitfalls to be aware of? i.e. do I need to un-install anything like ICS or TCP/IP or any protocalls before changing over.

Appreciate any advice to ensure this transition goes smoothly.

What is involved?
Are you changing ethernet cards, or do your cards have both bnc and cat5 connectors?
If your cards have both connectors you should have to do little.
Do you plan to use dhcp from the 314? Are you currently using it?

You don't need to change any software settings. If the NIC's are set to auto-detect the media type, it will work after a reboot.
