Pitchers who purposely throw fastballs at batters..

Regs

Should be arrested and then charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Count how many batters who got stuck with metal plates in their heads with their careers and lively hood down the drain. All because a pitcher thought he deserved it, and knew he was only getting suspended with a fine that's considered petty change to him.

*Cough, Pedro Martinez

No wonder why there was a brawl, it was total bull sh*t.

Batters get stuck with metal plates in their heads?

Fox announcers have made about one decent comment this postseason. "Show me a pitcher that doesn't go inside and I'll show you a pitcher that doesn't win." I doubt either Pedro or Clemens are headhunters. If you pitch inside and miss, there's always a chance you'll hit the batter.

Both Pedro and Roger are good enough when they want to hit someone they hit them in the back or side, not the head.

They should allow fighting... 😉 you never have anyone head hunting with weapons in hockey because of fighting.

I agree....just because it happens while playing a sport doesn't make it any less dangerous. At the very least, the pitcher should be suspended for several starts.
It is not part of the game, at least not a part to be proud of. I know that accidents do and will happen, not every pitcher that hits a batter did it on purpose....but hey, I didn't mean to run into that car the other day, either and my insurance is going to go up anyway.

imho, for a multi million $$$ paycheck for a few years work... it is an occupational hazard.

😉
While we're on salary... those pitchers only need to work only once a week (if that) during the regular season. I think they should be exposed to that occupational hazard too... damn DH rule...
