Making retarded jokes about a double-amputee is easy (and cheap), but I find grabbing a gun and shooting one's girlfriend to death during an argument, and yet not being found guilty of premeditated murder, fvcking hilarious.

Yep. Most articles I've read make him out to be a border line psycho with serious paranoia and rage issues.

This coming out with the whole hoopla around the NFL and it's domestic violence...time to do a reality check on how much we let professional athletes get away with.

Is anyone else just stumped by this verdict?

Not really, I have a good friend that used to live in South Africa. He said that the legal system there is fucked up and no doubt they would look the other way on the case because Pistorius is rich and famous, happens all the time according to him.

As long as people are willing to fork over millions because some guy is a fast runner or can kick a ball around, it's going to keep happening. Frankly, we don't care about the victim. Just look at the Ray Rice incident. More people are mad at her because she got him cut, and lost the team a multi-million dollar deal. These jocks are just animals that are used to getting their own way all the time, because they surround themselves with pussies who are too greedy to stand up to them. The NFL alone has a huge problem with criminal behaviour in their ranks. Pistorius is a national hero who put the country on the world stage, even though he's just a thug too.

The rest of the verdict after a word from our sponsors! Stay tuned folks!

This fucking judge is such a drama queen. I wouldn't be upset if they decided to execute her for ineptitude.

10 months in jail, after that house arrest and some other weak crap. 5 year sentence was on purpose because that's the limit for one to be eligible for house arrest after serving a short time. The judge wants to fuck him, so he caught a break. Blow your girlfriend's head off, 10 months in jail. Sounds legit.

It isn't like he shot her point blank. I mean, he did it pretty smart. Shoot through a locked door in the middle of the night and claim you were scared because you have no legs.

Besides, at least he is going to jail. Ray Lewis stabbed 2 people to death and didn't even miss a game.

I don't think it was premeditated. I think they were having a fight and he got angry and killed her.

To me, little to none of his defense story made sense.

Given what he was convicted of this sentence cannot be a surprise. Actually seems a little stiff by SA standards.

I expect the prosecution to appeal.

The prosecution can appeal in SA?!
