Stupid Artest... Those Piston Fans were punks as well, throwing beer & punching someone from behind.
 
Artest fouled Ben Wallace hard, Ben Wallace got pissed but Artest walked away. Then a fan threw sh!t on him, he got pissed, all hell breaks lose. Players go after fans, fans go after players etc.

They sh1t on him. Drunken idiot fans have been the cause of EVERY one of these incidents. Blame it on Artest all you want but emotions were going and that turd threw beer on him. Talk all you want about how he should'nt have been up in the stands but let me see how any of you guys act if someone threw a can of beer on you when you've already been knocked on your ass.

Drunken sports fans are teh worse.
 
That was ridiculous. The entire thing was no Artest's fault, Wallace overeacted, then some pvssy fan from the stand threw beer on Artest while he was lying on the scorer's table.
 
i think artest will be suspended, even tho it wasn't his fault. damn. i wonder if they will prosecute those fans that threw punches.

If I was Artest, I'd beat that fan too. Wallace over reacted, CLEARLY. They weren't even going to call a flagrant on that foul. The fans had no right to throw their drinks at the players. Fights break out on the floor all the time. How many times do you see the fans throwing drinks at the players? NOT OFTEN!
 
This isn't even a Detroit thing. You see this sort of thing go on all the time (albeit not to the same degree) when you mix alcohol and high emotions like athletics...especially at smaller venues. All it takes it one moron to incide the crowd and the mob mentalitiy clicks in. Idiots. NOthing will be done to curb it obviously as there is no league that would be willing to lose the revenue from alcohol sales unless somebody gets killed. Whatever. Idiots all around.
