We all know Lebron will be the #1 unless the cav's GM gets high before draft day. Its either gonna be Carmello or Darko. I haven't seen Darko play before, but if he can shoot like Nowitsky or even post up like Duncan, by all means get him! If not, get the proven NCAA MVP, Carmello:D.

Woot, cannot wait for draft day.:)

trade down to number 4 and get something extra. you know someone after the third pick wants dibs on either darko or melo.

detroit got #2 to complete a deal with the grizzlies from a 1997 trade involving otis thorpe. The grizzlies had 5 years to hand over a pick in a draft, and its bad luck that they have to hand over #2, especially this year

we got Memphis' pick. unless they got #1, we got theirs from a trade a while back, involving Otis Thorpe.

david aldridge interviewed dumars and was certain he was taking Darko, and dumars grinned. In fact dumars said something towards that as well. he would replace 37 year old cliff robinson, and prince would be detroits small forward.

detroit doesn't need carmello that's for sure. besides where's he gonna play as a pro?? PF, SF?

he seems like he could be a tweener.

one could JUST as easily say the same about passing on darko.

i definitely wouldn't call it a colossal mistake. Darko has earned lots of praise as a 17 year old playing in pro in Europe. definitely not an easy pick, IMO.

I think anthony's overrated. I like wade over anthony, he's just as quick, smoother, great rebounder, a better shooter, and seemed more of a team player.

Most of these guys will suck anyways. Let's look at the classic example of Sam Booey picked before Michael Jordan in the draft! What happened to Sam? You'll be saying the same about these guys.:Q

Pistons did win big in this draft. I wouldn't be surprised if maybe Denver or Toronto trade their picks for proven players.
