Tonight I've been trying to install drivers for an MX300 under win2k. It didn't work. I followed instructions to the letter. It didn't work. My friend had a Viper 2. It sucked and didn't work. Another friend has a s540 or something. It didn't work. This is a warning to everyone. NEver ever ever ever ever again buy a porduct from Diamond, or 'Sonic Blue' or S3. It all sucks. All in all the worst pieces of sh!t conceived by man since the invention of... well, it is the worst. Goodnight.

I love the Diamond video cards I have used over the years. They all installed right the first time. I also have used Diamond modems with no problems. All in multiple computer configurations. It sounds like you need to learn how to use a computer before you go insulting a product do to you and your friends incompetence.

i've used diamond modems too. in fact i'm using one right now and it only works with 3rd party drivers! perhaps i do need to learn how to use a computer. or maybe i've tried evrything for many many days and you're just an ignorant bastard that thinks he knows everything because his neato drivers installs the first time on his windows i love you 98 computer!

I don't think I know it all. Ask jonnyGURU. I still call him for help as well as other people. I don't just flatout blame a product. Have you ever stopped to think that the problem may be windows and not Diamond? Do you just run Win2k because you think it makes you l337? I run a win 98 machine because it doesn't crash on me and everything installs right out of the box in most cases. Get over yourself and quit blaming one company when there is more than one company involed.

I've never had a problem with a Diamond product under Win 9x. It's probably a Win2K (go figure) problem.

i've had problems getting my mx300 to work under win2k as well
i ended up using the aureal drivers back when they were still availble
(i think they still are)

i personally don't like diamond products. I've tried 4 different video cards on 4 different systems and they all died on me. I've used the supra express external 56k modem and i always had trouble connecting. I remember calling my isp's tech support and had to spend almost 2 hours trying to get an init string that would work. Only diamond product i've actually enjoyed owning was the mx300. So far so good :)

Show some class. Offer to help. Offer some suggestions.

You want to flame someone? Make sure you use correct grammar and proper spelling. It goes a long way to being taken seriously.

yes, i run win2k cause it makes me 1337. when i go to the mall i say to the hunnies, "baby, i run win2k. you should come back to my place so you can check out my up time."
or maybe dual processors requires an smp os. I dunno.
haha gimme a break.
