I am looking for a cheap camera solution, I realize this may sound ridiculous but there is dog shit nearly EVERYDAY in my parking space next to my car. It's a small space, about 20x20, just big enough for my car and my neighbors.

And everyday there is a steaming piling of dog shit. I've confronted about 3 different people on different occasions with their dogs. Every time they say 'its not me, I pick up my shit'.

I've had enough, I'm installing a camera and the next person to take their dog into my parking space is going to get it either a) dumped on them or b) dumped on their door step. or more likely I am going to start posting the images of people and their dogs in the spot with a threat to take it to the police. ($250 fine)

Some other items worth noting:

The parking space is about 50-80 ft from my apartment. I'd prefer not to run a wire. If I have to I will.

I'm running Windows Vista - I will leave my computer running all day if need be.

The parking space is small, therefore it doesn't need a super wide lens, I want decent detail and clarity. There is a wall surrounding my parking space (my house is up on a hill) that is about 15-20 high, so the camera will be angled downward.

Motion sensor filming would be nice, not sure if this is applicable, will save me some time sorting through the video.

Software that makes it easy to crop the video would also be good.

They make motion sensors for film cameras. Search online for deer cameras or something like that.

Even seen hundreds of ads on websites for this: here
Might be crap; I haven't seen any reviews on it, and I haven't looked for reviews on it.
I glanced briefly at it though, and it seems that it can be motion triggered as well.

Deer cameras are pretty noticeable, especially in an urban setting. If someone was doing it maliciously with their dog, then it's a piece of cake to stand in front of the camera and make funny pictures until you ran out of
A. batteries
B. memory

I've always been tempted to "moon" a deer camera when I stumble across one in the woods, but I end up just detouring around it unless it's in a position where I'm forced to go through its field of view (as would the deer, bear, etc.)

edit: omg, I don't mean to go off topic in your thread, but I just had a great idea! I'm going to bring my camera with me when hunting. If I stumble across a deer camera, I'll get behind it and take a picture. Then, at home, I'll photochop the biggest deer I can find into the picture. Then, print out the picture and place it in front of the deer camera for a few shots.
