So, I watched this trailer this morning (cinemafusion.com FTW) and I've seen the second movie, but not the first... Do I need to see the first before I see the third even though I've seen the second?

Amazing...

Unfortunately, #2 was a little long-- and because I went to the midnight showing I think I fell asleep during it because I only remember bits and pieces. I just hope this isn't as long; though, by the looks of it, there's a crap load of action that they're trying to squeeze in one movie.
