hehehehe check this out.

I?m taking summer classes and the stupid school decided to move me out of the house I was in to a different once because they were working on it and couldn?t reschedule. so I?m in this new house. Nice house but NO FVCKLING INTENET. now i needed to feed my ATOT addiction so look what I did

http://pichosting.pcthike.com/TheEvil1/DSCF0007

so i jumped out the window into the house next door. Which does have an Ethernet jack. :D:D:D:D:D

Funny thing is I'm living in that house next to me next year. In that exact room

Why do threads like this always make me want to inform the authorities? B&E is a bitch. Who to email though? Send the appropriate information (Adam Skillings (http://www.dickinson.edu/~skillina/) and a link to the picture (after making a backup of course)) to it@dickinson.edu? Maybe to the facilities manager... Or maybe to campus police, or the town police if this is outside of the campus police jurisdiction... Who knows.

I was actually going to do the same thing when they cut off my gf's net access for kazaa usage... Though I was going to do it a bit more high tech.. Her lobby has a "guest" computer for checking email/etc. so I was going to buy a tiny wireless access point and "share" the connection... My gf refused to let me do it in the end... But, still, switch to wireless man! no wires to give you away to the authorities (and you won't be screwed even if they find the AP or router)..

Step away from the keyboard and come try on this nice new white coat we have for you. See all the shiny new buckles? And you can hug yourself all day long in it.

:D

See we are not here to hurt you, we want to help you. now lets just get up from the desk nice and slow.

I'll use that excuse to get into my neighbor's house. I'm sure the cops will love it.

How about the fact you are using a connection you should not authorized to use?

It's not as if he had to kill someone...

I would go the wireless route as well. Someone could get in your window and jack your sh!t

Wait, why is everyone so mad at him? Aren't you supposed to have internet in college? The way I see it is, if you're supposed to have a jack and you don't, WTF is the problem in taking it from another jack that goes back to the same place?

It's NOT a felony - you are a FREAK. Don't worry about other people.

Wow, what could go wrong running CAT5 from 2 different buildings across open area should be enough to slightly discouarge you from doing this.

What's that do to the electrical gain on the two buildings. I'm sure CAT5 between two structures is a pretty big lightning rod.
