An admitted counterfeiter has agreed to pay Microsoft and Symantec $1.1 million in restitution, a victory in the software industry's fight against software piracy.

..i think he lucked out. Maybe he still made money after all this. Reminds me of the spammer who also got fined a couple mils...but he made like ten times more...big whoop.

no, he sold software that was collectively worth $9.9MM. He may have sold them for $1MM total.
