Is obtaining free software over the internet a question of breaking copy right laws, or just a question of one's morals?

I'd say e-mail piracy@spa.org with complete details of what you've pirated, where you can be reached, etc. and they'll respond by sending you free warez and a comforting answer to your moral woes.

If it's a game like quake 3, then yes that's illegal. It's illegal but rarely does anyone get caught and prosecuted for it. :)

If it's a freeware/shareware game, then it's perfectly legal to download and play it. :)

illegal, but there's pratically no way to track you...

i wonder why the CIA doesn't have anyone in any of the big cracking or distrubtion groups...
on the other hand, they probably do.

LOL

obatining pirated software via the internet is DEFINITELY breaking copy rights laws.

Only the individual pirating can decide if obtaing these files defines his or her morals.
