...Congress is expected to consider new copyright legislation this year. An invocation of terrorism, the trump card of modern American politics, could ease the passage of the next major expansion of copyright powers....

Yes, clearly those who download stuff for free are helping terrorism. They give it money (by downloading without paying) or something.

It's simple, really. By not funding RIAA and MPAA, fewer taxes are collected. That means we can't buy as many guns and give them to various nationalistic groups to help them fight off their oppressors...wait.

I can only hope that the backlash against the people crying "Terrorist!" now is as severe if not more so than the people crying "Communist!" in the 60s.
