For all you thread crappers, why not just refrain from posting your comments? Sure, a 4" woofer may not be enough for one person - and 10 watts might not be enough power handling for another individual. However, this is the "hot deals" section and $22.88 does qualify as a hot deal. If you're looking to spend $1,500 on Mirage speakers, then you'll have to look beyond this forum to find what you need to suite you.

Finally, these are surround speakers. If you have an adequate subwoofer, the 4" woofer will be more than enough. Set the frequency response to cut-over at 100 Hz and you'll be good to go. 10 watts per channel is nothing to sneeze at. Most people never use more than the first 2 or 3 watts of power anyways, so this could be a great deal for some people. ;)

It's actually a 4 inch 'fullrange' not woofer. One speaker per cabinet .. and that is actually all you usually have in surround speakers. IF you look at the DVD + surround packages from sony and the like, you'll get a 4 inch oval speaker for your surround. These are more than capable of handling the sound from dolby prologic and prob enough for most digital movies.

I went to take a look at these speakers and while I was at the hotbuy4u site I happened across a "Supertool" these guys were selling. They had a picture of a Leatherman Supertool and were selling it for only $12.50. I decided to buy two of them. When they arrived they were cheap "Made In China" fakes - BAIT AND SWITCH. I called leatherman to let them know about these counterfit products and that website is now no longer accessible - sucks for them. I guess they got what they deserved. The brite side of this is that Leatherman is sending me a free Supertool for my troubles- Woohoo!
