i am working on a pioneer vsx-1017txv-k for some unknown reason q2001 digital surface mount transistor popped and now there is no 5 volt stand by to power the unit on and yes i did replace the transistor i got it from pioneer
has anyone had this issue

The part that blew may be a transistor or some other component, such as a local voltage regulator or other circuit. The fact that it blew indicates some kind of problem, either in the voltage source feeding it or in one or more shorted components following it. In youc case, that could be the logic or control circuitry that sets the system to standby.

If you're a skilled tech, the first thing you need is a schematic so you can trace the supply voltage from the source to its intended target. You also need to know what the expected voltages are before and after the transistor or circuit.

If you're not a skilled tech, and your receiver is out of warranty, your best bet is to find a reliable local repair tech.

Good luck.
