Question about using SATA drives with IDE drives. Which takes preference? Say I have 2 IDE HDDs and 2 SATA's. I know through the bios I can select which to boot from, but with SATA there is no master / slave relationship. Add to this mix a SATA DVD-RW. How will the computer know the DVD isn't the boot device?

I have the Samsung SATA DVD drive and have had problems with it configured with IDE drives for some reason. I just have the SATA WD drive and the DVD. Anything else and the DVD drive is not recognized.

How loud are these pioneers? Any good reviews? I have that samsung sata dvd burner that goes on sale all the time, and it's pretty quiet.
