Pioneer DVR-108, Burning CDs at only 10X?

I have the Pioneer DVR-108. I bought some TDK Media rated at 48X (no cheapo brand).
I burnt first 3 CDs at 32X. It worked fine w/ Nero .6.6.0.6 But now I can only pick 4x or 10X? Whats going on.?
The firmware on the Pioneer is Version 118

try reinstall chipset drivers
go to dev man in safe mode and delete ghost drives if there
did you update firmware to 1.18 for retail AOXLA08 or OEM DVR-108?

also:
Go to your Device Manager > IDE/ATAPI controllers > select Primary IDE Channel (or wherever your DVD burner is) right click & select Properties > select Advanced Settings tab.
Does tab exist?

You could also un and reinstall Nero to force aspi update win32aspi
Also try dif media
