For people looking for compatibility with CDR and CDRW media, this is a good player. It probably doesn't have MP3, but it does have component outputs, twin laser beam pickup and a good name brand.

Excellent deal. I have this DVD Player, Dolby and DTS, optical and digital co-ax audio out, on and on. For the price of an APEX, this is an excellant choice.

Cons- No MP3 Playback, remote poorly layed out

yea..pioneer is one of the best players out as far as versatlity is concerned, plays dvd, cd, cdr, cdrw, vcd, svcd, and even xsvcd...if i didn't already have the 5-disc version of this thing i'd be all over it

this player is very good, except for one thing, the spinning of the DVD is audible during quiet scenes if you sit within five feet of the player...
